After a successful slow-pitch season in which they reached the State Championship game, the Soper Lady Red Bears are back on the diamond preparing for the fast-pitch season.
Head coach B.J. Beaird believes this time before the season starts is invaluable because he gets a chance to see what they’re made of.
“(We’re) looking for ones who are dedicated and want to put the time in and the effort in to win,” he said. “We work them out pretty good just to prepare them for the heat and different things you get in the summer and fall months.”
